Meet The Teacher

Mrs. Callahan

Mrs. Callahan had been working in childcare for about 15 years before she became the Assistant Director of the Academy in 2020. She earned both her ECPC and her Director’s Credential from Seminole State College.

Embracing the many roles of an early childhood teacher, Mrs. Callahan strives to create an environment where all children can express and develop their unique talents and fall in love with learning.

She encourages her learners to be curious, practice making their own decisions, and always try their best without being afraid to make mistakes or ask for help along the way.

When she is not at the academy, Mrs. Callahan loves spending time with her daughter and their 8 (yes, eight!) adorable cats, engaging in creative projects, or going to the beach.

What Parents Like You Have To Say

"The teachers REALLY care! I can't say that enough. It is everything. I HIGHLY recommend this place. They are flexible and the kids come out so advanced. I will miss them dearly when my son leaves there after kindergarten, but as soon as my daughter is old enough, she will be there!"

"This school is AMAZING. They have gone above and beyond to exceed my expectations. We miss the staff tremendously. I find comfort in knowing I have found a place for my 1 year old to experience and enjoy just as much as his big sister does. "

"We have had a child at Academy of Excellence for almost six years and plan on doing so for another three more at least. I’ve always said that this isn’t just a school- it’s a family. It’s more than just a school because not only is the learning top notch, but the kids acquire important life lessons and how to value all those around them."
